Our Story

The Fundraisers was founded by Julie Eason in 2014, with a vision to make fundraising strategic, generous, and deeply human. In 2020, Hannah Travers joined as Director, bringing her own creative energy and deep sector insight. In 2026 Julie stepped down as CEO and Sarah Moore joined Hannah as co-Director.

Julie and Hannah are both award-winning fundraising experts with decades of experience and a shared commitment to impact, integrity, and innovation. Together, they have built a successful team that’s helped hundreds of organisations secure transformational funding and build lasting change.

With particular expertise in the Arts, Hannah continues to lead the team to win significant funding for a range of arts organisations and charities, securing a single grant of £1.6million from NLHF in 2025 alone.

Sarah brings a breadth of fundraising expertise gained from leading teams across international development, grassroots social justice, and regional charities. She holds significant experience in strategic development, income stream diversification, and hands on expertise in major donors, corporate partnerships and individual giving.
